Offleash’d: A Nibble & Wag Story

Before Nibble & Wag, there was Offleash’d. Built in the heart of the community, Offleash’d started with a simple goal: bring pet parents together through shared experiences, events and a love for their pets.

What began as a way to connect people and their pets quickly became something more. Through thousands of conversations at parks, events and local gatherings, Offleash’d uncovered a deeper truth about pet parenthood:

For many families, the biggest challenge wasn’t love, it was access.

Access to:

  • quality nutrition
  • trusted products
  • and the ability to consistently provide the best for their pets

Time and time again, we heard the same concerns:

  • “I want to feed my dog better, but it’s too expensive.”
  • “I don’t know what to trust.”
  • “Why is good pet food so hard to find—and afford?”

These weren’t isolated problems.  They were systemic, and they were preventing families from giving their pets the care they deserved or even welcoming a dog into their home at all.

Where the Vision Took Shape

Offleash’d became more than just a community platform, it became a lens into what pet parents actually need.

It showed us that:

  • community drives trust
  • transparency matters
  • and accessibility is everything

Those insights laid the foundation for what would come next.

The Bridge to Nibble & Wag

When our CEO, Terry James connected with Dog & Whistle CEO, Eric Adams, the vision became clear: If Offleash’d was built to bring pet parents together, Nibble & Wag would be built to support them. Together, they set out to solve one of the biggest barriers in pet parenthood: affordable, nutritious food that doesn’t compromise on quality

With the addition of efforts by COO Jeff Brown and the guidance from veterinary professionals, that vision became reality.

Built From the Community, For the Community

Nibble & Wag isn’t a brand created in isolation. It’s a direct extension of everything Offleash’d learned from its community. From real conversations, real challenges and real pet families.

It exists because Offleash’d showed us what was missing, and it continues to grow alongside the community that inspired it.
