One of the most frequently asked questions we get is “How can I use Offleash’d if I don’t have a pet?”
Well, great news! Owning a pet is not required to join our app! Offleash’d is built on the belief that people can form meaningful connections based on a mutual love and appreciation for animals. So, if you don’t own a pet, or perhaps don’t want a pet of your own, you can still join a safe, inclusive community, bonding with others who share common interests and passions.
“What’s the point of being on a pet-centric app then?” There are studies that suggest that the dating style of pet owners is similar to the behaviors exhibited by their pets. For example, cat owners tend to be more aloof and low maintenance, whereas dog owners tend to be more enthusiastic when it comes to their relationships. Perhaps the same principle applies to animal lovers in general, where the traits we admire in animals, such as unconditional love and the desire to protect those we care about, shine through in our interpersonal connections. That sounds like a decent start to making some great connections, right?
